In a country where social sciences are neglected, the Journal of Academic Studies is addressed to a growing body of people who work in the social sciences. The main characteristic of this press is its compliance with the academic criterion The Journal of Academic Studies is an expert review that is published
quarterly. At present, private colleges of Turkey (i.e. Sabancı, Koc, Marmara, University of Fatih etc.) subscribe to the Journal of Academic Studies together with numerous state universities both in the city of Istanbul and other provinces. In addition many academics have also subscribed to the Journal of Academic Studies privately paying the fees from their own. Concurrently, a European Universit, University of Oxford, has also subscribed to the Journal of Academic Studies and has entered into the Index of Social Sciences. There are further efforts to place Journal of Academic Studies into other indexes as well. |

The other very important peculiarity of the Journal of Academic Studies, besides its status of being is that it originates from the Academic Studies Center which works intensively on Central Asia, Ex-USSR States, and Caucasus.
The necessary background is being accomplished to completely activate the exploration center. Already the Dr. Baymirza Hayıt library has been completely adopted by the Academic Studies Center and furthermore the proceedings of the transfer of a new library are being completed.
GOALS
1- To enable the publication of the academic research findings of scholars working in the area of social sciences.
2- To inform the public of studies pertaining to Turkic World and its community of relatives in social, economic and cultural areas on the international level.
3- To make announcements to concerned public, scholars and experts about the academic studies performed in the social sciences era on the internatinal levels.
